Delete data

Go to your account settings (Dashboard > Settings) while logged in and choose 'Delete account'. You can do this at any time, without our team's involvement.

Your account data - name, email address, profile photo, introduction, location data and, for cleaners, any uploaded identity document - is immediately and irreversibly anonymized or deleted. Any cleaner profile is taken offline immediately. Messages, reviews and references continue to exist, because they also (partly) contain the other participant's data from the conversation, but are no longer linked to your name or account. If you log in with Google or Facebook, we only receive your name and email address from that provider to create your account - see our privacy policy. If you delete your Matiwala account as described above, we also delete this data.

Removing or disconnecting Matiwala in your own Facebook or Google settings only stops new data from being shared with us; it doesn't automatically delete what we've already stored. If you remove Matiwala via Facebook's 'Apps and Websites' settings, we automatically receive a notification and delete the corresponding data ourselves, even if you can no longer log in.

If you can't log in yourself, or want to make a different request about your data (for example access or correction), email support@matiwala.com from your account's email address so we can identify you. We respond within four weeks.
